• Gary Nissley started collecting Latin records and hanging around Spanish language radio stations in 1968. He went on to DJ virtually all styles and became the record librarian and music director for KPCS from 1975-1991. He'll be playing some hella rare shit so don't sleep!!!

• Gary Garay, known by some as Alla, has been creating art since the early nineties. He works in mediums of paint, sculpture, drawing and graphic design, and has done everything from gallery shows to album covers over the years. The common theme in his work is that it always makes some kind of social commentary on a current aspect of living in Los Angeles. It touches on themes of mixing cultures, media and consumerism in the city of angels. He is a first generation, US born Mexican with an eye on the interplay of life vs. survival. Music is also a heavy part of Garay's inspiration. Garay aka Ganas behind the turntables can be heard and seen at Mas Exitos, an audible exploration of the Americas at the Verdugo Bar on Tuesdays.
